Patience

The waiting is not wasted.

You may be waiting for something that should have come by now. An answer, or a door that stays shut. You have tried to be patient, and you are tired of trying. That is not a failure of faith. It is what a long wait feels like.

This is a place to wait honestly, and to take one small step while you do.

You are not forgotten. You are loved. His timing has not failed.

You don’t have to enjoy the waiting.

You may feel that a patient person would not mind this much. Patience in Scripture is not the absence of longing. It is longing that keeps turning toward God instead of away from Him. You can ache for the answer and still trust the One who holds it. God is not annoyed that you have asked again. He does not measure your faith by how calm you look. You do not have to make peace with the whole wait today. There are small, steadying things that may help, and we can start with just one.

When nothing seems to change.

The days look the same, and the answer does not come. You wonder whether God heard, or whether you missed something. The psalmist knew that ache. He waited too, and he tells us where he put his hope.

“I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and I hope in His word.”

— Psalm 130:5

Waiting on the Lord is not waiting on nothing. It is resting your weight on what He has said while you wait for what He will do.

Remember Who is good to those who wait.

Waiting makes us watch the clock. Scripture turns our eyes to the One who keeps it.

The LORD is good to those who await Him, To the person who seeks Him.

— Lamentations 3:25

The wait may be long, and He is still good in it. You don’t have to understand His timing to trust His heart. Maybe today’s next step is simply this: Lord, I am still waiting, and I will keep seeking You.

Take one truth with you.

“The LORD is good to those who await Him, To the person who seeks Him.”

You don’t have to download anything. You don’t have to buy anything. You don’t have to see the answer today. Just know that the Lord is good to those who wait for Him.

Don’t stop doing the next right thing.

A long wait can quietly talk us out of faithfulness. If nothing is changing, why keep praying or keep showing up? Paul answers with a farmer’s patience: the harvest comes in its season, not ours.

“Let's not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary.”

Growing in patience is not gritting your teeth. It is trusting that the small faithful things you do today are seeds, and that God has not forgotten a single one. The season will turn. Until it does, you are not wasting your time.
